Digital insurance is the signing of insurance contracts, renewing them, reporting accidents or doing any other insurance related activity that is performed with some hardware or software solutions. Digital insurance commonly features websites, applications, web programs, specially designed devices and other mediums.

While digital insurance tends to cut costs for insurance firms in a sense of decreasing admin time spent on paperwork and delivering superior value to customers, Armenian insurance companies had adopted rather limited elements of the former. The main platform used is their websites, which allow the customers to conclude some contracts online, order a meeting from company representatives and use premium computing calculators.

Though none of the insurance companies has currently functioning mobile applications, ASWA system and online wallets like Idram, EasyPay, etc., serve as common grounds for purchasing CMTPL contracts. More comprehensive information on digital insurance and its applications in Armenia, is available in the Armenian version of this article.
